Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) US$ 10.99 per Day

When you choose this coverage, you're protected in Nicaragua, up to 80% in case of damage caused by collision or auto theft in the country. You are only responsible for 20% or US$500.00, whichever is greater, of the total value of the damage.

In case the vehicle you rented exceeds US$25,000.00 when new, the amount to be deduce would be US$1,000.00 or 20%, whichever is greater

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) US$ 16.99 per Day

When you choose this coverage, you're protected in Nicaragua, 100% in case of damage caused by collision and 80% for auto theft in the country. You are only responsible for 20% of the total value of the stolen car.

THIRD PARTY COVERAGE (SLI) US$9.99

This coverage is obligatory according to Nicaragua’s new traffic laws. With this coverage you are protected against damages caused to other people and property with the vehicle you rented up to US$7,500 per rental, distributed in US$2,500 property damage, us$2,500 medical and/or death for one person or us$5,000 for medical and/or for two or more persons . You will be responsible for 20% deductible and OFASA will assume the difference up to US$7,500. This coverage can not be declined. new traffic lays make this mandatory.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

If you get this coverage, you and all the people who accompanies you in the rented vehicle at the moment of an accident could receive reimbursement for medical expenses from US$5,000.00 up to US$25,000.0o, amount that is distributed amongst the affected persons.

This coverage has two approaches:
1. If you want to rent a vehicle in any irregular situation Nicaragua is going through, Budget offers a coverage against Civil or Political Unrest, which works exactly the same as the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with the difference that this one covers partial or light damages.
2. Because in Budget we have no borders, you could take this coverage when you rent a car to go to any country in Central America. This coverage works exactly the same as the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) in Nicaragua.
This coverage could be used with other coverage and work in the same way.
