Lake Arenal

Lake Arenal is one of the most beautiful spots in Costa Rica and Central America. Our properties specifically are located on the west side of the lake, where weather is always comfortable. North American visitors call it "Spring-weather all-year-around," and European visitors call it "the Swiss Alps of Central America" [without the snow obviously and with comfortable temperatures]. It is never too hot. It is never too cold, and it is always beautiful.

For many of us, enjoying the lake views, the calm atmosphere, and nature is all we need. Others love the great lake activities that Arenal has to offer. The lake offers world class wind/kite surfing and fishing. You can enjoy boating and jet skiing, yet you can find endless calm areas for kayaking and paddle boarding. Around the lake, there are hiking trails, horse trails, and adventurous outdoor activities, like rafting, zip lines and repelling.

If you want to explore Costa Rica further, remember our properties are centrally located. We are only 1-2 hours away from three different volcanoes, many national parks and the great beaches of Guanacaste and the pacific coast.

Lake Arenal is about 1 hour drive from Liberia and its international airport, and only 2.5 hours from San Jose, the capital. No wonder that Lake Arenal is one of the most visited spots in Costa Rica and Central America.
